OUR RIDES

Our boats are powered by electricity. Not gasoline. Not diesel. But by green electricity. It's only Sightseeing Ride's boats among all tourist boats in Stockholm that runs on electricity. And the electricity we charge the boats with comes from wind and water. The boats are not large. 

We want our tours to be personal. You should be able to ask, and get answers from our guides during the hour-long boat trip. Then you shouldn't have to crowd with hundreds of tourists. In our boats, you're never more than 34. 

No heads or backs obstruct your view when you want to see how Stockholm's waters and buildings look. The view is unobstructed. And safety is, of course, the highest priority. Each boat is equipped according to European safety standards with lifebuoys and life jackets. 

The boats are low and wide with plenty of space and a comfortable proximity to the water. If it rains, we put up a roof and walls on the boat. The walls are transparent so that you can still enjoy Stockholm's beautiful views.

Our guides are specially trained to make your sightseeing trip something special. You will receive all the important basic facts about the Royal Palace, the Vasa Museum, the Royal Dramatic Theater, Gröna Lund, Skansen, and all the other landmarks in the capital that we pass by. But you will also be updated on what is happening here and there today. Has there been rumbling in the corridors of parliament about a new controversial proposal? Then our well-informed guides can tell you about it. 

Sightseeing Ride's guides review their scripts every morning. Our guides are also selected because they are good storytellers. Many have a background in acting, and you will notice how they bring anecdotes from the nooks and crannies of the capital to life in a warm and personal way.

A tour with Sightseeing Ride is unique in several ways. Our wide, open boats are the only tourist boats that can pass under the Strömbron bridge. And it's only us who go around Beckholmen. So with us, you will visit places that other tourists who want to see Stockholm from the water never even come close to.
